Where an app accesses photos, videos, audio, documents, contacts, or other files, such access is used only for the feature requested by the user. Unless clearly stated in a specific app, we do not transfer personal media files off the device without user action, permission, or feature requirement. The only case in which a file you select leaves your device for processing is when you choose to use an AI feature, as explained in the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features" section below.
Our apps may display advertisements and use analytics to understand performance, engagement, crashes, and user experience. Advertising partners may use device identifiers, advertising IDs, approximate location, app activity, and technical information to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements.
Where legally required, we request consent before showing personalized ads or using certain tracking technologies. Users may manage ad preferences through device settings, app settings, or consent forms where available.
Scope: This section covers only those Vertex Forge Apps products that include AI-based functionality. Apps without AI functionality do not share any information with AI service providers, and this section does not apply to them.
Certain apps may offer optional tools powered by generative AI, such as condensing long documents into short summaries, extracting text from pictures, or creating written content on request. To deliver these tools, we rely on an external AI service, which at present is the Google Gemini API.
AI tools are never activated silently. Before any material is shared with the AI service, the app shows a notice explaining that the material will be processed by a third-party AI provider and asks you to agree. If you do not agree, no material is shared, and the remaining features of the app stay available to you.
Material you submit travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our backend, which runs on Google Firebase / Google Cloud, and is then passed to the AI service to produce the result. We do not keep copies of submitted material or of the generated output on our systems once the result has been delivered to you. Limited technical records that do not contain your submitted material, such as error reports, may be kept for up to 30 days for troubleshooting and security purposes.
The AI provider handles submitted material in line with the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Vertex Forge Apps does not use your submitted material to train AI models, does not sell it, and does not use it to personalize advertising.
Results produced by AI can contain mistakes, omissions, or misleading statements. They are offered as a helpful starting point and should not be treated as professional legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice. We recommend checking any important output before relying on it. Where possible, we suggest not submitting material that contains highly sensitive details, such as identity document numbers, banking information, or medical records.
Output created by AI is marked as AI-generated inside the app. If you come across AI-generated output that is offensive, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate, please flag it using the reporting option in the app or let us know at privacy@vforgeapps.com so we can review it.
AI features are not made available in apps intended for children, and we do not knowingly pass material from children to AI service providers.
Using AI tools is entirely optional. You can avoid them by simply not using those features, by withdrawing consent through the app's settings where this option is provided, or by uninstalling the app. Questions or requests related to AI processing can be sent to privacy@vforgeapps.com.
Because our apps and services may be used globally, information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we apply reasonable safeguards for international transfers according to applicable law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
